Who: Teams of 2-6. Think of a funny team name.

What: West Potomac Rugby’s Fourth-Annual Urban Scavenger Hunt.

When: Saturday, August 23 from 4:00 - 8:00.

Where: Begin at Chef Geoff's Downtown and ends at Hamilton's Bar & Grill.

How: Teams will receive a list clues around town to “gather” using a digital camera. The teams that “gather” the most items during the four hour hunt win valuable prizes.

Why: It’s a fundraiser for a good cause and it’s a blast.

Urban Scavenger Hunt 8/23/08! – Save the Date.

Put your teams together and save the date for West Potomac Rugby’s Fourth Annual Urban Scavenger Hunt. Everyone had a great time last year and there were tons of stories.

How does it work? Teams of 2-6 players will be given a packet list of items. If you don’t have a team, we will match you up. Their task is to have their picture taken with as many of these items as possible in four hours. (The whole team has to be in the picture so small teams could have an advantage) It is a great way to see some cool parts of the city, meet new people, and there will be lots of opportunities to be creative. Last year, the second place team did not leave the bar! There will also be fun riddles and physical challenges and stuff.

What do I need? One digital camera per team. If you don’t have a team or a camera, let us know and we will do our best to find one for you. Also, you will get points if you get donations and gift certificates from your local bars, restaurants, cigar shops, and liquor stores to help sweeten the prize pool and increase fundraising for the team. A great way to get a head start!

What can I win? For most people, the journey is its own reward. Those people are losers. The top teams will receive fabulous and valuable prizes worth approximately 25% of the total entry contributions.

What does it cost? $10 per participant donation which goes to the non-profit organization. The West Pot player who brings the most friends out for the day gets 50% off their Fall 2008 Dues!
